John Harmon Gilley was born on Jun 19, 1848 in Tremont, Hancock, Maine, United States, son of William Gilley (1805–1894) and Phebe H. Douglass (1809–1893).
John (23) married Emeline M. Mason (20) on Apr 13, 1872 in Tremont. Their known son was Andrew Leverett Gilley (1873–1931).
John died on Nov 6, 1923 in Southwest Harbor, Hancock, aged 75. He was buried in Mount Height Cemetery, Southwest Harbor.
