Biography

Barham was the son of Sampson Gilliam and Drucilla Hill

Barham Bobo Gilliam's first name appears in records in various ways. It is most commonly spelt "Barrum." He often appears in records as "B. B." Barham was named after the Barham family of Sussex County, VA who intermarried with the Gilliam family.

Barham before 1850 married Diana Dodd Blackburn.

Barham married secondly Frances M. Wesson. It should be noted that Barham's son, William Wesley Gilliam married Frances A. Wesson, daughter of Johnson Wesson. The two Frances Wessons should not be confused.
