Died, at the residence of her father, Dr. C. Gillihan, in Iola, Kansas, at 3:36 p.m., Monday June 20, 1892, Mrs. Mary McCoy. The deceased was reared in Iola and lived here nearly all her life. She always appeared srong and well until about four months ago when she was suddenly striken down with consumption. Nothing could be done to stay the progress of the disease and it resulted fatally at the time above noted. The funeral services were held at the residence at four o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. J.F. Huckleberry, of the Baptist church, officiating, and were attended by a large number of sympathizing friends. Besides her parents and her brothers, the deceased leaves a bright little daughter to mourn the irreparable loss of a mother's love and care[1]
