Son of Yeamans and Sarah Lewis Gillingham. Census records indicate he and his parents were born in Pennsylvania. Married Keziah Warrington. She died in Fairfax, Virginia in 1872.[1]Chalkley died in 1881in Fairfax, Virginia. He is buried in the Woodlawn Quaker Burial Ground. Headstone description: "Founder of Woodlawn Quaker Church, his wife is Kezia." [2]
