Biography
Hugh was born about 1760. He is the son of Unknown Gillis. OR Hugh was born in 1755. Hugh Gillis (brother of John Gillis) and Anne Nicholson (sister to Catherine Nicholson, wife of John Gillis) Hugh died on Skye, but his wife Anne came to PEI with her grown children in 1819, probably on the "Morning Star", apparently this was the only ship to come from Scotland to PEI in 1819.
