Biography
Hockliffe parish register baptisms and burials 1755-1812 is lost, and the BTs are incomplete. 1764, 1768 and 1769 and the early months of 1770 are missing. Her birth is therefore speculative. Thomas and Elizabeth were the only Gillman family in Hockliffe at that time, and as Susanna married in Hockliffe it is assumed that they were her parents.
Thomas Gillman left a will identifying Susannah Eagles as one of his daughters - see Ancestral Trails by Herber
She married James Eagles at Hockliffe on 29 Nov 1787.[1]
In 1851 she was living in Clerkenwell, Middlesex with her grandson - Susannah Eagles widow 83 born Bedfordshire.[2]
