Biography

Susannah Gilman, daughter of Michael Gilman, was born about 1808 in New York.[1]

She married John Pelton, son of John and Martha (Pelton) Pelton, in 1828 at Livingston County, New York.[1]

She and John appeared on the census of 20 Aug. 1850 at Yankee Springs, Barry County, Michigan.[2] John died in 1857 and she and her children appeared on the census of 29 June 1860 in the home of her daugher and son-in-law at Yankee Springs, Barry County, Michigan.[3] Susannah is in the 1870 US Census twice. She appeared on the census of 9 Aug. 1870 in the home of her brother at Eaton Rapids Township, Eaton County, Michigan.[4] She appeared on the census of 18 Aug. 1870 in the home of her daugher and son-in-law at Wayland, Allegan County, Michigan.[5]
