Biography

Lawrence Gilman or Gyllman was baptized Caston, Norfolk, England, 3 November 1651, the son of Edward Gilman and Rose Ryse.^[1][2]

He married (1) in Caston, 20 June 1588, Elizabeth James,^[3][4] buried 20 December 1602; married (2) in Caston, Joan Gallop, widow,^[5][6] buried 3 July 1630.^[7]

He died in August 1629 and was buried at Caston parish church as per his wishes recorded in his will: ^[8] "Laurence Gillman the elder was buried the one and Twentieth day of August Anno Do[min]i 1629."
