Research Notes
Moses Gilmore was originally attached as the first husband of Sarah Peasley Porterfield,[4] but there is no source and the birth of Sarah's first daughter with Charles Porterfield, seems to rule that out. See note on her page. He did marry a woman named Sarah, as shown in the 1851-52 census,[5] and several of their children were married in Lincoln, including Catherine and Eliza Jane.
