According to my dad, Ryburn R. Updike, John GILMOUR led the singing in the Scotch Presbyterian church (no organ) for many years (-Dale A. Updike, Nov. 24, 2014).
Shares the same set of maternal grandparents as his wife Isabella's first late husband Robert (Thomas Findlay and Elizabeth Meikle).
