Eli was born in 1777. He passed away in 1848.

Eli (Elias) was born in 1777. He was the son of Isaac Gilpin and Anna Unknown. He was a veteran of the War of 1812, serving as a Corporal in Lanier's Independent Battalion of Ohio Militia. He passed away in 1848. Father was Isaac Gilpin 1738 – 1781 Mother was Mary Ann Painter 1742 – 1785 . He married Rebecca Deford Abt 1800 In Virginia. He was in the War of 1812. Went from a Private to Corporal While Margaret stayed home and cared for 14 children. married 2nd Lela Sela Pullen 1844, 4 Aug . He died in Windsor Illinois of Fever .

Gilpin-1294 and Gilpin-426 appear to represent the same person because: I believe these 2 profiles to be the same person with the exception of the death date. Find a Grave list the date as 2-3-1848. Please consider the merge.

Gilpin-426 and Gilpin-685 appear to represent the same person because: Fathers are identical, birth location is identical, birth and death dates very similar.
