Elizabeth was born about 1775. She is the daughter of William Gilson and Elizabeth Craighead.

Research Notes

This reseacher has found on familysearch, that Elizabeth married William Trindle Jr (1774-1819). on 31 Jan 1792 in Carlisle, Cumberland, Pennsylvania, USA. Some of the data on Familysearch looks questionable. There is a will for Elizabeth's father William Gilson (1730-1808) in 1808. In it he leaves her: To my daughter Betsey I give $20, and $2 a piece to her children William, Hannah, Sally, Margret & Ruth Trindle.

In Licking County, Ohio, several items concerning the Trindle family.

31 Dec 1819, on petition of William Trindle son of dec'd ordered that Alexander Holmes and Noah harrish appointed adms. of the estate of William Trindle dec'd. (43)

1 Jan 1820, Ruth trindle and Anna Trindle, minors over 12 yrs, children of William Trindle, dec'd, choose David Moore as their guardian. Alexander Holmes appointed guardian of Eliza, Matilda and Rebecca Trindle children of W Trindle, dec'd, under age of 12.
