Jacob moved first to Kentucky and then to Clark County, Indiana, in about 1808. He was a linen stamper who also ran a distillery and operated a horse mill. He erected a saw mill in 1820.
Daughters were Elizabeth and Mary. Elizabeth married S.G. Consley (13 March 1823). They had six children, four of whom reached adulthood. She later settled in Washington Township with one of her sons. Mary also had children and lived in Bethlehem Bottoms.
