Biography
Conrad was born in Germany to Johann Georg (John Peter) and Elisabethe Gimbel. In 1872, with his parents and brothers and sister, he immigrated to the United States. They departed from Bremen, Germany and arrived in the Port of New Orleans. They disembarked. The original destination was Galveston, Texas. They settled in San Antonio, Texas.
