Biography

Giuseppe Giordano was born on April 18, 1838, in Omignano, Italy.^{[1][2][3][4][5][6]} Giuseppe's parents were Pasquale Giordano and Maria Cammarota. Giuseppe announced his intention to marry Rosalia Cammarota in October 1867.^[6][7][8] They were married in November of that year.^[9][10] Yes, the last names of his mother and his wife are the same - Giuseppe and Rosalia are first cousins once removed.

Giuseppe traveled back and forth from Italy to the US between 1875 and 1883, when Rosalia and the remaining children in Italy arrived in America. They lived in Brooklyn and Giuseppe, now known as Joseph Jordan, was a coal dealer at the same address where his sons Aurellio and Frank ran the Jordan Brothers Barbershop.

Giuseppe passed away on September 24, 1903, in Brooklyn. He was buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn on September 27, 1903.
