Biography

Frederick was born in 1874[1] and baptised the following year in Eastrington, Yorkshire, England.[2] He lived in Eastrington with his parents, George Jipson and Mary Pashley.[3][4]
Frederick married Margaret Watson Lownsbrough in Burton Pidsea, Yorkshire, in 1897;[5][6] in 1901 the family lived on Staddlethorpe Road in Blacktoft, Yorkshire, and Frederick worked as a blacksmith.[7]
By 1911 the family had moved to Frederick's home village of Eastrington, where he was the publican of the Cross Keys Inn.[8]
