Notice of the death of Walter Girard, about 45, was delayed to his family something like a day due to lack of identification papers this week.

Mr. Girard died of a heart attack in a hospital some time Monday. His family on Thomas Ridge did not learn about it until late Tuesday evening. Full details were still not available.

Mr. Girard worked at Indianapolis while his family of five lives on Thomas Ridge near Dunnville. He had been working there and coming home for some time.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ersie Bernard Girard, and four children all 12 or under. They are Glen, Mollie, and twin Sons, Darrell and Harold. He has one brother in Indiana.

The funeral will likely be some time Thursday at the Thomas Ridge Church with interment at the church cemetery. Gosser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, having gone after the body Tuesday night.
