Biography

Pierre Giroard was born on 11 Oct 1726 and baptized on the 20th in Annapolis Royal, Acadie, Colony of Nova Scotia (named Port Royal until 1710). He was the son of Guillaume (Giroard) Girouard and Marie (Bernard) Bernard dit Renochet. His godparents were Pierre Richard and Marie Comau, daughter of the late Alexandre Comau.^[1][2][3]

Marriage
Pierre (Giroir) Girouard married Théotiste Dupuis, daughter of Pierre Dupuis and Jeanne Richard, on 3 Feb 1751 in Port Royal. In the presence of known witnesses Guillaume Giroir, Joseph Giroir, Pierre Dupuis and Charles Dupuis.^[4][5]

Death and Burial
Pierre Girouard, husband of Théotiste Dupuis, passed away on 26 Jun 1814 being given the age of around 88 years on the record. His burial was the following day in Saint-Ours, Bas-Canada.^[6][7]
