Biography

Earl was born in 1897.

He was the son of Gid Giroux and Silena Kenney.

Earl's mother Silena wrote memoirs about her life called "Tangled Threads"


In June 1900 Earl is 2 and living with his family in Jerome, Yavapai, Arizona Territory, his father is a mine engineer, his mother with siblings Agnes, Louis Alonzo, and Lottie [1]


In 1920 Earl is living in Los Angeles Assembly District 72, Los Angeles, California with his mother Silena and sister Mossye is also living there[2]Earl is listed as an oculist in Optician place

Earl married Carol "Carrie" Belle Strauss on 7 Feb 1921 in Santa Ana, Orange, California[3]

Earl and Carrie divorced before 1929 as Carrie married Mossye's son Raymond Gideon Buelna


In 1930 Earl lists himself as widowed instead of divorced, he is living in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California with his mother Silena. Earl is a glazier at the lumber company [4]

Before 1940 Earl marries a lady named Bessie (est birth year 1902 and born in Missouri)

In 1933 Earl is listed with Bessie in Santa Monica, California Directory[5]

In 1940 living in Los Angeles,Los Angeles,California, he is a working as a glazier for a Glass Factory with his wife Bessie[6] and [7]


In 1940 they are listed in the Voter Registration with Jack Giroux in same household[8]


In 1950 Earl is listed in the Voter Registration [9]

Earl is known as "Earl The Glass Man"

On 19 Mar 1964 he is listed in an advertisement [10] in the paper Daily Review (Hayward, California)

In 22 Aug 1956 Hayward, California he joined the Chamber of Commerce as Earl Giroux "The Glass Man"


He passed away in 1987 at the age of 89 in Alameda, Los Angeles, California and is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Glendale) located in Glendale, Los Angeles County, California[11]
