Roxie Ann Gish was born February 7, 1846, in Roanoke county, Virginia, a daughter of Jordan Samuel Gish and Charity (Bean) Gish. Her family moved to Henderson county, Kentucky, when she was about four years of age. On April 16, 1868, in Henderson county, Kentucky, Roxie Ann married John Willingham, a son of Elijah Willingham and Frances Betissa (Galloway) Willingham. [1] Children of Roxie Ann and John include:
