Rites Saturday for Mr. Gist.

W. Snow Gist, 67, a resident of the Crystal Springs community, North Lauderdale county, died Thursday afternoon at 5:30 o’clock after an illness of six months at Nashville, Tenn., where he had been a patient in the Mid-State Baptist Hospital.

He was a native and lifelong resident of North Lauderdale County and was a member of the North Carolina Church of Church located near Killen.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Limity Gray Gist, Crystal Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Rayford Grimes, Nashville, Tenn., and Mrs. James Behel, Florence; four sons, Meadows, Jesse, Otis and Elvis, all of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Joe and Frank Gist, both of Florence; a sister, Mrs. Ellen Van Pelt, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and a number of more distant relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Milner’s Chapel in the Crystal Springs community with Wilburn Quillen, minister of the Haleyville Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery, with Beacham Funeral Home, Loretto, Tenn., directing.
