In 1854 Thomas, and his family wife: Grace, daughter: Miss Ouana Gist, (born 1854 aboard ship", departed Plymouth, England on 21 May 1854 aboard the "Nestor" arriving in Portland, Victoria on 16 Sep 1854[4]
Thomas died in Smythesdale, Victoria in 1919, aged 84 years[5]
