Biography

Mary Ann Gittins was born in 1848 in Salford, Lancashire, England. She was the daughter of John Gittins and his wife Mary Anne Mooney. In 1871 Mary Ann worked as a cotton weaver. She married John Thomas Cox on 6 Jun 1882 in St Leonard's parish in Bilston, Staffordshire, England, United Kingdom. By 1883 Mary Ann and John had arrived in the US.
