Biography
John was born in 1768 to father William Givan and mother Margaret Hervie, who were married 5 July 1766 in Ashkirk, Roxburghshire.[1]
John was working as a 'Letter Sheppard' at the time of his marriage to Jane (Jean) Wight in Yarrow Scotland on Jan 20, 1793. They had several children.
He passed away in 1856.
