Mora (Givens) Cryor is a part of US Black heritage.
Ancestor of writer Ta-Nehisi Coates
Mora Flora Givens was born in 1890 in Virginia. She was the daughter of Harrison (aka Honey) Givens and Nancy (aka Nannie) Joy Harrison. Givings.[1] In 1900 she was living in Stony Creek, Sussex County, Virginia with her widowed mother and 4 siblings.[2]
Mora married George Cryor in Delaware in 1907.[3] In 1910 they were living in Baltimore with one son.[4]
She appears to have passed away before 1930 when George was listed in the census as widowed.
