William was 24 years old (b. 1841), 5’3” tall, and was born in Henderson Co. KY. He was a farmer before the war. He enlisted in Henderson, KY on 9-Apr-1865. He mustered into Co. E of the 120th Regiment US Colored Infantry on 25-Apr-1865 as a private. His slave owner was Mrs. E. Givens, Providence.
