Biography

Florence Glading was born in 1877 at St Saviour Southwark, Surrey, England. She was the daughter of John Glading and Ann Maria Toogood.^[1]

In the 1881 census, Florence Glading was age 4 living at Charles Street, Christchurch Southwark, London with her father John Glading (31), mother Maria Glading (31), sisters Emily Glading (8), Maria Glading (5), brothers Richard Glading (7), John J Glading (2), Thomas Glading (0).^[2]

In the 1891 census, Florence Glading was age 14 living at East Ham, Essex with her father John Glading (41), mother Maria Glading (41), sisters Emily Glading (15), Nellie Glading (7), Mary Glading (7), Agnes Glading (5), Bertha Ann Glading (2), brothers Richard Glading (17), John J Glading (12), Tom Glading (10), cousin Charles F Blackburn (18).^[3]

In the 1901 census, Florence Glading was age 23 living at Kensington, London as a servant in the household of Emily Annie Watts. Occupation: House Parlour Maid Domestic.^[4]

Florence's family emigrated to Australia before 1914. They had a daughter Agnes F Klam (b. 1914).^[7]

Florence Klam died in 1963 at Greater Lithgow, New South Wales, Australia.^[8] She was buried at Lithgow General Cemetery.^[9][10]
