I just sent an inquiry to the WikiTree team as to what surname they would advise my using. My birth certificate says "Richard Douglas Smith" was my father; however, that was just a name my mother made up at the time. I was raised as Janet Smith, until I married and took the name "Simpson" in 1975. I have since discovered through 23&Me that my birth father was Melville Fowler Gladman. What would you suggest? Thanks! Janet
