Marie Catherine Glatu was born and baptized on 4 Oct 1718 in St-Sulpice^[1], the daughter of Nicolas Glatu and Marie Laporte; godfather Nicolas Rivez (Rivet), godmother Marie Anne Émeri (Émery).^[2]

Note: on the baptisms that remain of her children she is listed as Marie Catherine, on one of their marriages she is listed as Marie Madeleine, the rest list her as Marie, including her own second marriage and funeral.
