Ray and Julie were foster parents to at least one daughter, Doris Christina Rasmussen Funck. She and Leonard William Funck, son of William Funck, were married July 7, 1955 at the Bronson Presbyterian Church, Bronson, Woodbury, Iowa.[4]
Ray was one of the first elected councilmen in Bronson, Iowa, after it was incorporated in 1967.[5]
