Harry Matthews Glansford Jr was born on 15th july 1921 in Gypsyville, Kingston upon Hull, Sculcoates District, Yorkshire (East Riding), England.
Harry was a sergeant in 514 Squadron of the RAF Volunteer Reserve during WW2. He died on 21 Jul 1944 (aged 23 years) when his plane, Avro Lancaster ME858 which took off at 23:07 hours on 20 July 1944 from Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire was shot down at 01:16 hours in Limburg, Netherlands, with a loss of all seven crew. He was buried in Joint Grave 6, Hunsel Roman Catholic Churchyard, Leudal Municipality, Limburg.
