Biography

On 17 Sep 1892, Arthur Tennyson Glanville was born in Thessalon, Algoma, Ontario, Canada to James Glanville and Asenath Nelterfield. James Glanville was employed as a Clerk in a General Store. [1]

On 31 Mar 1901 at the time of the 1901 Canadian Census, head of household James Glawville (age 32, born in Ontario, Canada) was living in Algoma, Ontario, Canada. He was Married, and his religion was Church of England. [2]

At the time of the 1916 Canadian Prairie Provinces Census, head of household James Glanville (age 47, born in Ontario) was living in Alberta, Canada with his wife Asenath Glanville (age 45, born in Ontario); son Arthur T. Glanville (age 22, born in Ontario); son James Glanville (age 18, born in Ontario); daughter Nora Glanville (age 14, born in Ontario); and son John Glanville (age 7, born in Ontario). [3]

On 17 Apr 1940 at the time of the 1940 US Census, head of household James Glanville (age 72, born in Canada) was living in a home he owned valued at $5,000 at 1420 19th Avenue NE in Harrison precinct, King county, Washington. James was widowed. [4]

Death and Legacy

In 1957, James Glanville died at age 89. He was buried at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Seattle, King county, Washington, USA. [5]
