Biography

George Glanville was born in 1850.[1] He was the son of Daniel Glanville and Eliza (Hughes) Glanville. He married Esther Ellen Steadman

George divorced Esther in 1897. He married his 2nd wife Amy 26 Dec. 1898. At the time he was 48 years and Amy was 23. At the time of this marriage his occupation was listed as farmer. Amy née Garrad was born in England. They had 2 sons, Seward who died 1908 and Reginald born 1905.[2] He passed away in 1911.

Death

Sat 10 Jun 1911 - The Shoalhaven News and South Coast Districts Advertiser (NSW : 1891 - 1937) Page 5 - SUDDEN DEATH OF MR. G. GLANVILLE SUDDEN DEATH OF MR. G. GLANVILLE. Mr. George Glanville, 60, a well-known fisherman of Sussex Inlet, was found dead. The Coroner recorded a finding in ac- cordance with the medical testimony. The deceased was a native of Bam erang, and the eldest son of the late Daniel Glanville, farmer, of Berara, who many years ago resided on the Shoalhaven River. The deceased leaves a widow and one child (a boy aged 5 years). [3]
