Dorris Kennedy “D.K.” Glasgow was born in Henry county, Tennessee in February of 1842. He was the son of Elijah Hawking Glasgow and Jane Caroline Jeanes. In 1854, the family removed to Bradshaw, Arkansas, where his mother soon passed away.
Military
In 1862, D.K. enlisted in the in the Arkansas Infantry "Company A" – Commanded by Captain Cobb, organized in April, 1862 at Oak Bluff, Green (now Clay) County.

When D.K. left the Army is uncertain.
Marriage
D.K. married three times:
His first wife,Ann Crews, passed away circa 1875.
Malinda Peet in Denton on September 12, 1877 - he reported as widowed on March 31, 1880
The widow Mary Ann Simpson wed on July 29th 1880. They were on the Denton County Tax Rolls in 1887. Mary passed in 1921.
Children
Emma Jane, the first of his five children, was born in 1865 in Arkansas. George H., the fourth child, was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1874, and the last child was born in Texas in 1875. Known children include:
Emma Jane Glasgow Mills - 1865–1923
William Preston Glasgow - 1867–1933
Martha Louisa Glasgow Stogner - 1871–1939
George H. Glasgow - 1874–1931
Martin - born in Texas circa 1875
Residence
In 1880 they were living in Precinct 1, Denton, Texas. [4]
On the 1900 census, we find them boarding in Noble, Ok. with D.K. working as a drayman, though clearly stating that they owned a home, free and clear. [5]
In 1910 they are living in the house, with no occupation. [6]
Death
Dorris Kennedy Glasgow went to his final rest in January of 1912. [7]
