Biography

Herbert was born in 1877 in Beaverton, Ontario.

In about 1906, Herbert married Maggie Fizell. They had two children, Margaret born 1909 in Minnesota and Franklin born 1917 in Saskatchewan.

In 1910, they immigrated to Canada and settled in Mackenzie, Saskatchewan.

In about 1931, they immigrated to the US and settled in National City, California. In 1941, Herbert passed away in San Diego County. In 1965, Maggie passed away in San Diego County.

Glasford Services Held Saturday

Herbert Glasford, a native of Beaverton, Ontario, and a resident of San Diego county for 10 years, died Wednesday, February 26 at a hospital. He had conducted a National City business with his brother, Glenn Glasford, and had resided at 23 E. First street.

He leaves his widow, Mrs. Margaret Glasford, a son, Franklin R. Glasford; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret E. Koern; two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice McCarthy, and Mrs. Pearl Davis and another brother, Elmer Glasford.

Services were held Saturday, March 1 from Benboughs morturary with the Rev. Thomas Law Coyle officiating. Entombment was in Cypress View mausoleum.
