Mrs. Elizabeth Durbin Dies Cresson, April 25 - The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Jane (Glass) Durbin, aged 87, widow of James Durbin, occurred yesterday afternoon at 12:45 o'clock at the residence of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Miller, at Wildwood Springs between this place and Loretto. She had been ailing for some time and suffered a slight stroke shortly before noon yesterday. She was born in Loretto on Sept. 30, 1847, a daughter of John and Elizabeth (Trotter) Glass, both long deceased, and is the last member of this union. Surviving are one daughter, Zita, wife of Nicholas Miller of Wildwood, and a son, James Durbin of Pittsburgh. Three step-grandchildren also survive. She was one of the oldest communicants of the St. Michael's Catholic church, Loretto, where the funeral mass will be celebrated at 9 o'clock Friday morning. A high mass of requiem will be celebrated by the parish pastor, Rt. Rev. Magr. James P. Saas. Interment will be made in the family plot in the church cemetery.
