Around 1875, John, Maria, and their children moved from Pennsylvania to Nebraska, United States. [4]
John's wife, Maria, passed away on 3 September 1891. He has been in Pennsylvania for several months settling an estate and arrived back at their home in Nebraska 4 days after her passing from typhoid fever. They had 8 living children at the time of her death. [5][6]
John passed away on 28 November 1893 in Cushing, Howard, Nebraska, United States. He is buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Saint Paul, Howard County, Nebraska, United States. [7]
