Biography
William Glasser (Glosser) was born in Boblingen, Baden, Germany in 1809. He came to the US in 1835 and married Eva Catarina Metz in 1839 in Buffalo, NY. The couple had 10 children: William E. (1837-1914); John (1840-1901); Mary (1842-1912); Charles (Conrad) (1844-1933); Peter A. (1844-1928); Frederick (1846-1882); Katherine Elizabeth (1848-1906); Godfrey (1851-1926); Henry (1854-1877); Edward (1858-1914). William died in 1862 in Eden, N Y.
William's sons John, Conrad, Peter and Frederick all served in the Civil War.
Some descendants in later generations used the name Glaser.
