William Glassey was born in the parish of Falkirk on 27 February 1898 and was the second son of Richard Glassey and Annie Crane.[1]


On the 1901 census, William is living on Kerse Lane, Falkirk, with his parents and siblings.[2]

William married Elizabeth Lawson Aitken in the parish of Grangemouth on 24 March 1922.[3]
