Jennie was born in Zitomer, Russia, on 5 June 1887[1][2][3][4] in Russia.[5]
Jennie married David Frimkess on 9 August 1909 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.[1] David was also from Russia. Together they had three sons, Louis (Lev), Meyer (Mier) and Norman, and daughter Anna (Annie) (1921), all in Canada.[5] David immigrated to the US in 1923, and the family followed in 1924 and by 1930 they were living at 2728 Wabash Ave, Los Angeles[5] Jennie and David both spoke Yiddish in their household.
At some point, David and Jennie separated, and are living in separate households in the 1940 census.[6]
On March 17, 1942, Jennie became a naturalized United States citizen. Interestingly, her certificate lists her first name as Jennie and formerly as Jenny.[7]
Jennie died a few days shy of her 84th birthday on 31 May 1971 in Culver City. She is interred at the Hollywood Forever cemetary, Laurel Section, Section 18, Row 5 In Front of Beth Olam Mausoleum, Southwest Area of Cemetery, in Hollywood, California.[2]

↑ Note: the specific date listed in the SSDI and Find-a-Grave source appears to conflict with the 1930 census source. The census taker recorded Jennie's age in 1930 as 39 years, which would put her birth year in 1891, rather than four years earlier in 1887. Census data, however, is often in error.
