John was born in 1866. His parents were John Glasson and Susan Litten.

The GLASSON family set sail from Plymouth on 20 Mar 1871 aboard the ship, Star of India and arrived in Port Phillip bay on 14 Jun 1871. The family consisted of parents John H (aged 28) and Susan (28) and their 2 children, John L (4) and Annie (1).
