Robert Gustavus Glasson was born on 20th February 1859 at Tremearne, Breage, Cornwall, England. He was the fourth son of Henry Glasson and Annie Paull.[1]
The Glasson family set sail from London, England via Plymouth on 28 Dec 1860 aboard the ship, Sussex and arrived in Hobson's Bay, Victoria on 11 Mar 1861. The family consisted of parents, Henry Glasson (age 34, farmer) and Ann (34), their 4 sons, John (6), Henry (5), Joseph (3) and Robert (2). Also aboard was Henry's sister Susan (38)[2][3]. They continued their journey on to New South Wales, Australia the same year where sadly their twin brothers, Richard and William, passed away the same year.
He passed away on 28th October 1942 at Dudley Private Hospital, Orange, New South Wales and buried in the Church of England Cemetery, Orange[4].
