- 1900
- [ Death Notice ] [1] Alcinda Braddock was born in Wood County, Virginia, March 30, 1817, and departed this life Jan. 28, 1900, aged 82 years, 9 months and 28 days. She moved to Ohio with her parents, Arehart and Sarah Glaze, about 10 years of age. She was united in marriage on July 4, 1858 to John Braddock. She was the step-mother of two sons and one daughter, with the last of whom she spent her last days. She leaves two brothers and three sisters who are aged and infirm and could not be present at her funeral.
- She united with the church when about fifteen years of age, and remained a faithful member until her death. She was kind, jovial and cheerful in her disposition. The last visit I made as her pastor, she spoke of her early christian impressions and a desire to see those, who had pointed her to the 'Lamb of God, Who taketh away the sin of the World.' ~ A A Sayre.
- The funeral of Mrs. Braddock was held from the M. E. Church on Tuesday afternoon, Rev A A Sayre officiating. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.
