Levi Gleason was born July 29, 1826 in Warrensville, Cuyahoga, Ohio to Ephraim Gleason and Jerusha Benjamin. In 1850, Levi lived with his parents and seven siblings in Warrensville. Levi was a farmer, and his father, Ephraim, was a mason. [1]
Levi married Sarah A. Fouts on January 17, 1858 in Cuyahoga, Ohio. [2][3]
In 1860, the Gleason family continued to live in Warrensville. The family included Levi's parents, Jerusha and Ephraim, and five of his siblings - Louisa, Cynthia, Andrew, Eli, and Henry. [4]
By 1870, Levi and Sarah had relocated to Michigan along with other members of the Gleason family. They lived in Stanton, Montcalm, Michigan with their children, Ella, Albert, Evelina, and Mary. Levi was employed as a brick mason. [5][6]
Levi died on January 16, 1898 in Grand Junction, Mesa, Colorado. He was buried with other members of the Gleason family in Elmwood Cemetery, Wayland, Allegan, Michigan. [7]
