Biography
Mary was born in 1843, the daughter of Absolom Gleaton and Nancy Bonnett. Unsure about mother's maiden name. I don't see a record that proves her maiden name at this time.
In the 1850 census Mary (age 4) was in Orangeburg, Orangeburg, South Carolina, United States.[1]
In the 1860 census Mary (age 17) was in Orangeburg, Orangeburg, South Carolina.[2]
Mary married Melvin Posey sometime around the year 1864.
