GLEESON — HAYES.
The marriage of Mr. John F. Gleeson, son of Mr. Gleeson, of Eaglehawk, and Miss Mary Hayes, daughter of Mr. P. Hayes, J.P., ex-mayor of Bendigo, took place on April 25, at St. Kilian's Cathedral, Bendigo, Rev. Dr. Reville coadjutor bishop, officiated, assisted by Father Hogan, Dr. Barry, V.G., and Fathers N. Crane, Moore, and Barry (Pyramid Hill) being also present.
The bride was given away by her father, the bridesmaids being Miss Kate Hayes and Miss Gleeson, while Mr. T. N. Woodward acted as best man. The bride wore a handsome gown of white silk with long court train ; the bodice full and draped around the shoulders with rich Limerick lace ; the veil of white tulle was fastened with a spray of orange blossom, and she carried a lovely white shower bouquet. The bridesmaids, Miss K. Hayes and Miss Gleeson, both wore pretty gowns of cream serge, hats to correspond, and carried shower bouquets of yellow and white flowers. The bride's travelling costume was brown cloth trimmed with serpentine braid, hat to correspond, and a rich brown cloak.
Amongst the wedding presents were a Bluthner piano and cheque from the father of the bride ; a sideboard, guipure set and eider down quilt from Mrs. Hayes ; cheques from Messrs. Crabbe, Cohen, and Kirby, Mr. J. O'Brien (Mitiamo), the brother of the bride, and a silver tea and coffee service with salver from Mr. M. L. O'Brien.

GLEESON, — Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of JOHN FRANCIS GLEESON. Solicitor, of 133 Forest-street, Bendigo, will be celebrated at the Sacred Heart Cathedral; Bendigo, THIS DAY (Monday), at 7.30 a.m. The funeral is appointed to leave the church at 10.30 for the Bendigo Cemetery.
