When Daniel David Glenney was born on March 12, 1915, in Wilmington, Illinois, his father, Richard, was 61 and his mother, Mary, was 43. He married Ophelia Ruth "Ruth" McCollum on June 5, 1941. They had four children in 13 years. He died on April 3, 1998, in his hometown at the age of 83.

Survived by his wife, Ruth (nee McCollum); son, Daniel J. (Kathleen) of Boulder, CO; and daughters, Donna (James) Johnson of Elroy, WI, Colleen (Richard) Schumacher of Wilmington, Gail (Dr. Lawrence) Wallen of Wilmington.
Funeral services will be held from the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd., Braidwood Chapel, Monday, April 6, at 9:30 a.m. to the St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.
