Biography
Jack started his work life as a grocers assistant and as far as I am aware continued as grocer until his call up to serve in the army at the out break of WW2. On demob in 1945 he went back to being a grocer, but at some stage he changed to working on the railways, a job he stayed with until retirement. In 1948 he married Margaret Cowe, they had 5 children 4 boys and 1 girl.
