BERNARD D. GLIDDEN SR., HOWLAND - BERNARD D. Glidden Sr., 73, died Aug. 26, 1980, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born in Burlington Aug. 27, 1907, son of Daniel and Anna (Ewings) Glidden. He was a very active member and a Sunday school teacher at the Passadumkeag Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Pauline (Smart) Glidden of Howland; two sons, Vaughn of Lincoln, Bernard Jr. of Howland; two daughters, BettyAnn Smith of Rochester, N.Y.; Mary Chamberlain of Howland; two sisters, Naomi Tripp of Searsport, Myrtle Dam of Southwest Harbor; eight grandchildren; one great - granddaughter . Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Cay Funeral Home, Lincoln, with the Rev. Gary Kinney officiating. Burial will be in the Howland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:30 to 4:30 and 7 to 9 p.m.
