Joseph and Antonia had been married for 12 years; Antonia had given birth to 7 children, all seven of whom were still alive at that time. Joseph immigrated from Italy to the USA in 1879 and he was a naturalized citizen; Antonia immigrated to the USA from Italy in 1896. Both of Joseph's parents were born in Italy; both of Antonia's parents were born in Italy. [1]
